And so here we are, on the final day of the complete live covers. If you've been following along for days 1-4 (grab the zip below if you haven't) you know Elliott Smith was devoted to many different artists over his covers career. He also liked to support the music of his friends and contemporaries, covering Jon Brion's "Trouble" (he worked with Brion on XO and Figure 8 as well) and doing a hilarious take on Oasis' "Supersonic" in February 2003, the show I saw him at. Of course, there are more classic rock tunes to finish up with, including a noisy, throaty rendition of "Don't Fear the Reaper" which is not to be missed.

Nope -- there are two songs entitled "Trouble," one by Jon Brion and one by Cat Stevens. Elliott has covered them both.
